Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a round cake pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the oil, milk, and vanilla extract to the egg mixture and blend well.
Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt, and gently fold into the mixture until just combined.
Divide the batter into two equal parts. In one part, sift and fold in the cocoa powder until fully incorporated.
Pour two tablespoons of the plain batter into the center of the cake pan. Then pour two tablespoons of the cocoa batter directly on top of the plain batter. Continue alternating the batters, always pouring into the center, creating a layered effect.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
