INGREDIENTS
For the Brownie Batter:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 large eggs

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ tsp salt

½ tsp baking powder

1 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)
For the Peanut Butter Filling:

¾ cup creamy peanut butter
-
½ cup powdered sugar
-
2 tbsp butter, softened
-
½ tsp vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat Oven & Prep Pan:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease. -
Make Brownie Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using. -
Make Peanut Butter Filling:
In a separate bowl, mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla until creamy and spreadable. -
Assemble the Brownies:
Spread half of the brownie batter into the pan.
Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter mixture on top and gently spread into an even layer.
Top with the remaining brownie batter and smooth out. -
Bake:
Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is set and a toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
TIP: For cleaner cuts, chill brownies for 1 hour before slicing with a hot knife.
