Ingredients:

  • 1 package of pre-made croissant dough
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the croissant dough and cut it into squares, approximately 3 inches by 3 inches.
  3. Roll each square of dough into a ball and place it in a muffin tin.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. While the croissant muffins are baking, prepare the chocolate glaze. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  6. Remove the cream from heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  7. Once the croissant muffins are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  8. Drizzle the chocolate glaze over the top of each croissant muffin.
  9. If desired, drizzle caramel sauce and sprinkle sliced almonds or melted white chocolate for additional flavor and decoration.
  10. Let the toppings set for a few minutes before serving.
