Ingredients:
- 1 package of pre-made croissant dough
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the croissant dough and cut it into squares, approximately 3 inches by 3 inches.
- Roll each square of dough into a ball and place it in a muffin tin.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
- While the croissant muffins are baking, prepare the chocolate glaze. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- Remove the cream from heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Once the croissant muffins are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Drizzle the chocolate glaze over the top of each croissant muffin.
- If desired, drizzle caramel sauce and sprinkle sliced almonds or melted white chocolate for additional flavor and decoration.
- Let the toppings set for a few minutes before serving.
